I live in the south of France, near Toulon. In 2015, almost by chance, I picked up an old Canon AE-1 that had been sitting unused at home. I started taking photographs without really knowing where it would lead. Little by little, curiosity became a habit, then a daily practice. Today, photography has simply become part of the way I move through the world and pay attention to what surrounds me.
I photograph without trying to control everything. I like leaving room for chance, for the unexpected, and for whatever happens to appear in front of me, rather than trying to constantly shape or direct the image. I am more interested in being present and receptive than in anticipating what a photograph should be.
Having grown up by the Mediterranean, the sea naturally holds an important place in my work. The water sports I have practiced since adolescence have also shaped the way I see. Light, movement, water, and the constant changes they create continue to influence my photography, sometimes without me even realizing it.
At its core, photography is a way of paying attention. A way of slowing down, staying curious, and remaining open to what is around me. I am not necessarily looking for a particular subject or a predetermined image. I would rather observe, wait, and sometimes simply let things unfold.
I don't photograph to stop time, but perhaps to pay attention to it.

Je vis dans le sud de la France, près de Toulon. En 2015, presque par hasard, j’ai ressorti un vieux Canon AE-1 qui dormait chez moi. Je me suis mis à photographier sans vraiment savoir où cela allait me mener. Peu à peu, la curiosité est devenue une habitude, puis une pratique quotidienne. Aujourd’hui, la photographie fait simplement partie de ma manière d’être et de regarder ce qui m’entoure.
Je photographie sans chercher à tout maîtriser. J’aime laisser une place au hasard, à l’imprévu et à ce qui se présente, plutôt que de vouloir systématiquement provoquer ou contrôler l’image. Je cherche davantage à être disponible qu’à anticiper ce que la photographie devrait être.
Ayant grandi au bord de la Méditerranée, la mer occupe naturellement une place importante dans mes images. Les sports nautiques que je pratique depuis l’adolescence ont également façonné mon regard. La lumière, le mouvement, l’eau et les changements constants qu’ils provoquent nourrissent encore aujourd’hui ma façon de photographier.
Au fond, saisir des images est pour moi une manière de porter attention. Une façon de ralentir, de rester curieux et de me rendre disponible à ce qui m’entoure. Je ne cherche pas forcément un sujet ou une composition précise. Je préfère observer, attendre, et parfois simplement laisser les choses arriver.
Je ne photographie pas pour arrêter le temps, mais peut-être pour lui prêter attention.
